Hope for the Day (H.F.T.D) is a non-profit movement empowering the conversation on proactive suicide prevention and mental health education. Through outreach, education, and action, we can equip people with the right tools to be proactive in their communities. Through outreach, we are raising the visibility of resources that are available and through our education, we are teaching individuals the tools they need to support themselves and those around them.  Suicide is a preventable mental health crisis. The primary obstacle to suicide prevention is silence. Proactive suicide prevention means starting the conversation on mental health before it adversely impacts our lives. At Hope For The Day, we strive to eliminate the highest risk factors of suicide through Outreach, Mental Health Education, and Community Action. 

Ride for a Cause is a monthly charitable initiative by Rides With TJ, created to give back to the community in meaningful ways. Each month, we partner with a different non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, focusing on causes that make a real impact—whether it’s supporting mental health, helping families in need, or uplifting local communities

When you book a Ride for a Cause, you’re not just booking transportation—you’re contributing directly to that month’s featured nonprofit. 100% of the proceeds are donated—from the initial deposit to the final balance. Depending on the organization’s needs, contributions may take the form of financial donations, food, toys, or other resources.

This means every ride matters. Whether you’re enjoying a short city ride, your ride transforms into an act of generosity. With Ride for a Cause, your journey on the road extends far beyond the destination—it helps fuel change and hope in the lives of others

To keep Ride for a Cause fair, transparent, and impactful, a few simple rules apply:

• Booking Location: Ride for a Cause rides can only be booked directly through our website under the Ride for a Cause section.
• One Ride Per Person, Per Month: Each person may book only one Ride for a Cause per month, ensuring as many people as possible can participate and support the nonprofit.
• Ride Limitations: This program is limited to short rides within the city (under 5 miles). It cannot be applied to airport transfers, tours, or any other Rides With TJ services.
• Donations: 100% of the proceeds go to that month’s nonprofit partner. All donations must be made by credit card only through Square Tap to Pay or an official invoice. Cash donations are not accepted.

These rules are designed to protect the integrity of the program, guarantee transparency, and make sure that every Ride for a Cause directly benefits the nonprofit of the month.

Each month, Ride for a Cause highlights a different 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. To help you learn more about the cause you’re supporting, educational materials will be available inside the Mercedes Sprinter van during your ride.

From pamphlets that explain the nonprofit’s mission to resource cards that share practical tools and contact information, Rides With TJ ensures you leave with a better understanding of the organization and the impact your ride is making.

Our goal is not only to donate but also to raise awareness, giving every rider the chance to connect with the nonprofit’s work and possibly continue supporting them beyond the ride.

A Commercial Co-Venture (CCV) Agreement is a legal contract between a for-profit business and a nonprofit organization that ensures full transparency and accountability when fundraising.

This written agreement makes sure that both the business and the nonprofit are on the same page about how donations will be handled, while also protecting the public by guaranteeing honesty in how funds are raised and distributed.

For Ride for a Cause, our CCV Agreement confirms that 100% of the proceeds from your ride will be donated to the featured nonprofit of the month—whether that comes in the form of financial contributions, food, or toys. It’s our way of making sure every ride is more than just a ride—it’s a commitment to trust, integrity, and giving back
